Erie Maritime Museum is a marine museum on Pennsylvania’s Presque Isle Bay in Erie’s downtown, Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission (PHMC) manages this museum. It became the first Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission-affiliated museum in 20 years when it was officially opened on May 21, 1988. It is the home of the US Brig Niagara, an advanced recreation of 1813-US Brig Niagara, which served as the flagship of Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry for relief in the Battle of Lake Erie.
