Sagamore Hill National Historic Site

Reflecting the legacy of President Theodore Roosevelt, the Sagamore Hill is both a National Park and a Museum. For any history lover this is a chocolate-box. The charming Victorian-styled “Summer White House” covering 95 acres of forest is the main highlight. Framing the house are the natural trails leading to the Eel Creek Boardwalk, which eventually opens to a peaceful beach view. Meadows and sand marches further complete the picture, sheltering numerous species of birds, mammals and insects. Whether you decide on a stroll or a picnic, either way you’ll not want to leave.
