Sakura Matsuri Festival originates from Japanese culture. USA celebrates this festival, as well as hosts the finale of the National Cherry Blossom festival. In this one-day celebration, performers from all over the country come to participate and showcase their love towards Japanese culture and traditions. During each spring when more than 200 cherry trees are in peak bloom at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, the Satkuri festival comes with a bunch of events highlighting the ending of the garden’s spectacular hanami season.
