Wat Pho

Wat Pho is best known as the Temple of the lying Buddha. It was a temple that was made by King Rama I and is the ancient one in Bangkok. The statue is so big that it can’t be viewed in its entirety. Hence, visitors can only appreciate it in sections. The soles of the feet are particularly beautiful. This is due to the 108 myriad of precious stones decorating them, which also symbolize the Buddha. Dropping coins on the 108 bronze bowls is believed to bring wellness and fortune.
