National parks

The Florida National Parks are a group of United States National Parks that constitute part of the U.S. National Park System and they are located in the states of Florida and Alabama. The parks range in size from small to large, with varying degrees of preservation efforts taken by each park.

Florida’s national parks are managed by the National Park Service (NPS), which is a federal agency under the Department of the Interior. History has shown that Florida’s natural resources were plentiful enough to support large populations and that there was a need for conservation efforts by European settlers, who saw them as a bounty from God.
